Meet your Farmers

Juan and Joanne Feddes are the father-daughter team that keep La Primavera Farms growing. Since 1954, there have been three generations cultivating the earth and sharing the harvest. With experience in dairy, poultry and flowers, La Primavera brings a variety of experience and wisdom to their work - and to your table. More recently, Joanne introduced a small herd of Highland Cows, and Juan diversified the flower options to what you will find growing today.
Joanne is the face you’ll see in the field today, tending the Highland cows. Leaning on her father's wisdom, Joanne is now passing a love for the harvest to her children. Joanne's two daughters have spent plenty of time by her side arranging flowers, and her husband also provides support with the farm, flowers, and fields.
If you ask Joanne, the best part of the day is just as the sun rises on a spring day, walking to the barn in the mist. It’s a rare time that things are quiet, and you can stop to smell the flowers, as you load them into the truck for market.
Juan's years of experience (both local and global) guide La Primavera Farms into new territories while ensuring that the flowers, grain fields, poultry and beef are all tended to using current and innovative ecologically-minded methods.

Our Flower Operation

Make no mistake, La Primavera Farms knows well the labour and the love that produces a beautiful Ontario bouquet.
In addition to the beautiful varieties of field flowers offered in season, La Primavera Farms also works hard to produce simply the freshest, longest-lasting sunflowers in our region. La Primavera Farms has been hand-crafting market bouquets since 2009. We are proud of our flower harvest, and the hard work of our staff.
Few things feel as satisfying as a perfectly apportioned bouquet, be it for the mason jar on your kitchen table or a gift for your favourite grandmother.
