What is a CSA?
During the summer months (June through September), CSAs are available for purchase.
CSA stands for community supported agriculture. A CSA is a method of connecting farms with consumers on a closer level. Our CSA is a month-long bouquet subscription.
What's the advantage of buying a CSA?
CSAs are a great way to support the farm and also receive the best product possible. When you pruchase a CSA, you guarantee that a bouquet will be waiting for you- as many know when going to a farmers' market, we sometimes we sell out of bouquets early. CSA bouquets are also valued slightly higher than our regular market bouquets- sometimes there is a higher stem count, or they have some more exclusive flowers in them.
Every week the CSA bouquets are different, with different colour palettes and flowers- you truly get the best of what's blooming at the time.
CSA dates are not moveable or refundable. Please ensure that you or someone you know is able to pick up your bouquet each week. Missed pickups result in the forfeiture of the bouquet.
How do I purchase and where do I get it?
CSAs are available each month of the growing season (June, July, August and September)
We typically cut off purchases for the upcoming month a few days before the new CSA cycle begins, and usually remind people via our Instagram account.
CSAs are available for pick up only, at our 3 of our market locations. Please visit our Farmers' Markets page for addresses and start dates. Please note that we do not offer delivery.
Tuesdays: Trinity Bellwoods Farmers' Market, 3 pm- 7pm
Saturdays: Milkhouse Farm Stand, 9 am- 1pm, or Humber Bay Shores Farmers' Market, 9 am-2 pm
All sales for CSAs go through our online shop here: openfoodnetwork.ca/la-primavera-farms-retail/shop
The shop has details for purchasing, pickup dates and expected flowers!
